Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this course students will know how to scale, score and report results of statistically valid surveys. They will learn how to interpret simple summary statistics, how to deal with missing data and outliers, and how to use precise language to describe survey findings.

Prerequisites
Familiarity with the material covered in Survey Design and Sampling Procedures is helpful, but not essential. If you have not covered the topics in that course, we recommend purchasing the books used in it. Also note that hypothesis tests are covered in this course, but only in a concise procedural fashion.

Course Text
The required texts are Mark Litwin’s book How to Assess and Interpret Survey Psychometrics from Sage (it is part of Survey Kit 2, but you don’t need the whole kit and the book is available on its own), and Arlene Fink, How to Manage, Analyze, and Interpret Survey Data.
