  • Distinguish between observational, cross-sectional and case-control designs
  • Calculate relevant disease metrics
  • Calculate metrics for measuring the impact of treatment
  • Describe the issues involved in controlling for extraneous factors

Your instructor is Dr. Eli Rosenberg, Professor of Epidemiology at the SUNY Albany School of Public Health. His federally-funded research program focuses on the conduct of epidemiologic studies of HIV prevention and HIV surveillance in the United States.  The course developer is Dr. David Kleinbaum,  Professor of Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, and internationally known for his textbooks in statistical and epidemiologic methods.
